First Update!
Leah Trank November 2013
Hello All! I am very excited to have my website up and running! It's been a very busy few weeks with 10+ auditions, rehearsals, and job interviews. I am proud to share several projects that I am currently working on.
1. I was cast as Frenchy at the Encore Dinner Theatre's production of Grease in Tustin, CA. We open our 8 week run on January 10th and are already hard at work hand jiving and do wopping in rehearsal!
2. I have the absolute pleasure of being a lead in an upcoming short film entitled Awaking about a blind ballerina and the young writer interviewing her. I bet you can guess which part I play (hint: I once got a B- in Intermediate Ballet...). The creative team behind the project is planning on submitting it to many major film festivals in the US and Europe! Exciting!
I had a lot of fun recently shooting a modern adaptation of Casablanca for a film class at a local community college... any excuse to be in front of the camera!
And that's the pre-Thanksgiving update! I'll be sure to add updates to this page as often as possible.=)

Guess Who Has An AGENT?!?
Leah Trank December 2013
Well my subject line doesn't leave much to the imagination. I have officially signed on to Domina & Associates Talent Agency! I'm elated. Domina is awesome and we really connected right away. She has promised to fight for me and I have promised to make her risk to sign an actress with almost no Industry experience, well worth her time and money. We have a lot of work to get my package completely ready, but with some adjustments I'll begin being submitted for big jobs: the type that make careers. With Pilot season right around the corner, the next few months are going to be without a doubt, a crazy ride.
I finished shooting my first short film yesterday. I was on set for 13 hours, in stilettos for 9, extremely cold, hungry, and tired, and I have to say.... I've never been happier. It really felt like the first day of the rest of my life. What footage I've seen looks gorgeous and I can't wait to see where the project leads! Yay! More updates soon. =)

Jesus Christ Superstar: ABE Awards
Leah Trank January 2014
Well what an amazing way to start out the new year. It was just announced that Muhlenberg Music Theatre's production of Jesus Christ Superstar was awarded multiple ABE Awards from The Press Newspaper, including:
Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre, Professional Theater Producer of the Year
"Jesus Christ Superstar," Best Musical
James Peck, Best Director of a Professional Musical, for "Jesus Christ Superstar"
Tim Averill, Best Scenic Design ("Superstar")
John McKernon, Best Lighting Design ("Superstar")
I'm so proud to have worked on this absolutely incredible piece of theatre during the summer of 2013. Lots of exciting things to look forward to in 2014, but what a great reminder of how much wonderful art I was blessed to have been able to create in 2013. I'll have plenty of updates soon, now that Grease is opening and pilot season is starting I'm sure there will be PLENTY more to tell you all!
Thanks and much love <3

Twenty Three and Busy
Leah Trank February 2014
So now that the Holidays are way way over, things have begun to pick up again. I was offered 5 auditions this week (2 of which I'm actually taking) and have been incredibly busy working on new material. YAY! So I have 3 big career updates:
1. I was recently cast as NightShade in Code Name, a really fun Super Hero play at the Tre Stage in Hollwood, just a few blocks from the Grauman's Chinese Theatre. I'm ecstatic to be performing in LA. The daily commute for rehearsals has begun and once we open, I'll then be performing 4 nights a week (with Grease also running on the weekends). What could be better than an extra night of acting?
2. I got to reuinte with the production team for Awaking last week in order to record some Voice Over for the film. It was an awesome experience and definitely makes me want to explore that field further. The film is looking amazing and you can actually now watch the trailer at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1781850665/awaking-movie
3. And last but not least, my reel has been updated. Thank you so much to Kevin King and everyone else at Create Your Reel, for a great night of work and Emma Willis for hair and makeup. You can view that now on the multimedia page! Whoo!
Even though I only turned 23 yesterday, I know that this is going to be the best year yet, because it is the year where I get to dedicate my life to doing exactly what I love.
Thanks for all of the love and support.

Fall Update
Leah Trank September 2014
I haven't been updating my website as much as I should, but luckily that's because I've been incredibly busy with Theatre over the last 3 months. I was so blessed to have been working with the Claremont based theatre company, Ophelia's Jump Productions, in two back to back shows. First, I was honored to play Mistress Page in The Merry Wives of Windsor. To be a lead in my first full length, Shakespearean play was a challenge and experience unto itself. And then soon after, I was cast as Clara in 33 Variations by Moises Kaufman. 33 Variations was a beautiful and heart breaking show and my character, a dream role to play. The show was a huge success and one review can be found at: https://www.claremont-courier.com/articles/news/t12865-music.
So what next?
As I head into the Fall, I am close to reaching my 1 year anniversary of beginning my professional acting career. And I am ready to refocus, reorganize, and move forward. Unfortunately, my agency has closed it's doors, and while I have to once again search for representation, I can also look with a little more experience and a little less naivety that accompanies the awe of Hollywood. Over the next few weeks, I'm going to be working on recording my voiceover reel and going back out on Film and Commercial auditions. I'm blessed to have been working so much in the world of Theatre, but it's time for me to hit the ground running in the direction that I want to have my career.
More updates coming very soon! And always, much love <3
